Peter Valentine

& Multi-Instrumentalist

Peter Valentine, originally from Long Island, New York, is a talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. A graduate of Stony Brook University, he earned two Gershwin piano awards and performed Rhapsody in Blue with both the Stony Brook concert band and the Kingsborough Community College concert band. After graduation, Peter moved to New York City to pursue a career in music.

Peter co-formed the original band 27 Heavens and performed on Broadway in The News and RENT. He also lent his voice to iconic jingles like Wait’ll We Get Our Hanes On You, Folgers’ The Best Part of Waking Up, and Dr. Pepper commercials. Over the years, he has performed with renowned artists such as Carly Simon, Pat Benatar, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Pete Seeger, Bill Chinnock, L. Shankar, and Darlene Love.

With a repertoire spanning Pop, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Reggae, Country, and Funk, Peter is most at home behind the piano or keyboard, singing hits from the 1960s to today. He has released several singles, both commercial and inspirational.

Since relocating to Vero Beach, Peter has become a staple in the local music scene, performing at venues like Post & Vine, Vero Beach Country Club, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club, and Havana Nights, where he has been a featured performer for the past few years. He also performs as part of a duo with Jenny Perkins from South Florida.

Peter enjoys collaborating with other musicians and singers at The Community Church of Vero Beach, where some of his original inspirational songs have been showcased.
